DEEJAY WES SMITH...
Wes Smith is an established American Deejay currently working in the New York City Dance Club, Lounge & Bar scene. In New York he has held residencies at Bar XII, Katra, Leopard Lounge, Mercury Bar, Sin Sin, and played numerous one offs at the legendary Sullivan Room, Rebel NYC and other venues.
While stacking up over 100 appearances in New York City venues, Wes has been sought out to keep the party rockin at high profile events for organizations including Hearst Magazines, NY Giants players, Cast Members from Shrek, Seventeen Magazine Models, and numerous other promotions and celebrations. He has also been named an Official DJ of the Lingerie Footbal League to appear with the NY Majesty during the 2009/2010 season.
Prior to moving to New York City, Wes was a respected Deejay and long time supporter of the internationally renowned Washington, DC club scene. In DC he pushed musical boundaries at top venues while the Rave & Electronic Dance Music circuit peaked across the United States. During this time he played @ Ministry of Sound [UK], Pasha [India], Buzz [DC], and 50 or so other clubs stateside with 100's of top circuit DJ's, many of which are household names today.
Leading up to and during his DC tour of duty, Wes co-founded and operated the Juice Recordings record label which specialized in B-Boy influenced Breakbeat dance music and featured many of the genre's top talent. The label sold over 25,000 copies including more than 60 singles & 5 CD's. The Juice Recordings catalog was routinely licensed for compilations as well as more than 15 times to MTV.
